What’s Missing From StarCraft II’s Launch? Pirate Copies (PC World)

PC World – StarCraft II has been circulating in beta since February 2010. A preload version’s been downloadable for the past week. Boxed copies of the game went on sale last night at midnight. The game code’s been hypothetically available, more or less in full, to software pirates for some time now.

AP – A cyber mastermind from Slovenia who is suspected of creating a malicious software code that infected 12 million computers worldwide and orchestrating other huge cyberscams has been arrested and questioned, police said Wednesday.

LG Expects to Launch a Few Windows Phone 7 Mobiles This Year (PC World)

Blackberry 6 and Bold 9800 May Debut Next Week (PC World)

PC World – Next week may see the debut of the Blackberry 6 operating system running on a brand new slider phone, suggested by an upcoming press announcement. Many sites and blogs are getting excited about invitations from Research In Motion and AT&T for an event in New York City on August 3. The event invitation doesn’t say much, but its timing lines up with previous rumors that the Blackberry Bold 9800 would debut this summer.
